Website copy
I was involved in the Juizi website revamp which launched in October 2021. This included tasks like:
- Writing and editing the website copy
- Choosing images
- Making decisions about the navigation and layout
It is a pleasure to learn about website development and design from the experts in the Juizi team. Since the initial revamp we have made various tweaks and continue to keep the website updated.
Following the experience I gained from this project, I have also been able to consult on and edit website copy for some of Juizi's clients.
Social media
I run Juizi's LinkedIn and Facebook accounts. This includes:
- Researching post topics
- Coming up with a content strategy
- Writing posts
- Analytics
As a small business providing a niche B2B product (powerful, custom-made Plone websites), word-of-mouth is by far the most valuable form of marketing for Juizi. Therefore, an important part of the marketing strategy for this company is a consistent social media presence, especially on LinkedIn. This includes 2-3 posts per week about a variety of industry-related topics, events, and client activities.
Blog posts and email newsletters
I am also involved in creating Juizi's blog posts, which appear in the email newsletters every two months. This includes the following tasks:
- Brainstorming blog post topic ideas
- Researching, writing, and editing the blog posts
- Sourcing images (sometimes including taking photos)
- Writing and editing newsletter text
- Constructing newsletters in Mailerlite
My favourite posts I've written include the dos and don'ts of SEO, a guide to falling back in love with your website, as well as a post explaining how software is like chocolate cake.
